Back to School

Yesterday I got to go back to school. I was called during the day to go to an elementary school to fill in. I taught about one hour, and got paid for a half a day (4 hours), plus I get to go back today and all of next week.

This is a great job. I'm doing small group reading instruction. I had a group of four and a group of three (where only one came). We get to focus on reading and the elements of reading. I really enjoy this.

Enough Said

Bike Accident

I took a little spill on my bike yesterday. I was riding to the store, the road was a little wet, and I slipped. I landed on my right side and slammed my left side into the ground.

My right knee has a couple of scratches, and that is the only visual evidence. My left knee has a very tender spot. My left wrist is sore. My right pinky is tender, and my right hip and lower back hurt a bit. Brett told me I'm not allowed to ride my bike today.

Back to School

First day of school.
We have one starting middle school, one finishing middle school, one starting senior high, and one finishing senior high.
First of the lasts. This is the last first day of school for Caleb (at least with him leaving from my home).
I think, no, I know I'll shed a few tears this year.

Up and at 'Em

I woke up to this ball at the foot of my bed. It may be because this dog loves my bed, and she loves to play fetch.

Play Time

A couple of times a day the dogs will do this. Sometimes it is outside, but most of the time it is inside.

Excited Selfies

Selfies

Eli took my phone and decided to take selfies and send them to his cousin. He sends them from my phone to my sister's phone. He drove to the store, and my sister let me know she was at my house right after we got to the store.

Silly Girls

We have recently found a consignment shop that the girls LOVE. Emily and Claire have a great fondness for this store, and they had to take their cousins there when they came to visit.

Right before we left, they decided to be models in the front window.
