All in a Day's Work

I pulled a tooth while subbing a few days ago.

YUCK! - That stuff makes me queasy.

1st Swim Meet

Emily joined the swim team this year, and she was a stress ball when it was time for her first meet. Caleb talked to her and hopefully helped her calm down a bit. Eli swam, too. He was not as nervous because he had participated in some meets a couple of years ago.

Get Back to Work

I finally got everything completed (well almost everything- I still have a few more papers and a physical to turn in) so I can substitute. Today is my first day. The bad news is that on the way to school today with the weather at sub zero Fahrenheit I had a flat tire, so I've already changed that this morning.

Thanksgiving

Unbeknownst to me, one of my children took a few pictures of our Thanksgiving prep. I got a hair net from helping at Brett's work, so I decided to put it to use.

We were able to do Thanksgiving dinner with some friends from church, and after the dinner we played games. It was a good time.

Nature's Beauty

We were greeted one morning by this. Not fun to drive with, but quite lovely to look at.

The Maxi

I took the girls out shopping. They were hilarious. Claire grabbed anything she thought was cute. It didn't matter what size, she just grabbed it. All three if us were in a dressing room trying things on. Claire really liked this dress (an adult size medium), and both of the girls tried it on. We did not buy the dress.

Cross County Banquet

Caleb earned a varsity letter in cc this year. It was on a Tuesday evening, and we had a parent/teacher conference right after swim practice and the banquet right after that (notice the swimmer's hair).

The Gems I Find

This is one of the gems I found on my phone when I was flipping through it. Claire is a silly girl.

Prin Problems

Prin would jump into the outside door. Here she jumped through the door. She broke the clips off the bottom, and came right through. She scared herself, and me too. I'm just glad she didn't break the glass.

Couch Cuddles

I get to have some nice warm bodies close when I try to take a quick nap on the couch.

Back At It

We are in full Swim Team mode. Caleb is swimming with the high school and Eli and Emily are swimming with a USA club team.

Puppy Love

Claire has a cold and is up coughing during the night. She was extremely whiney before school today, and I asked her if she wanted to stay home and sleep. She chose to stay home. Here she is on the couch with her blankets. (Silly Prin)

Zombie Lunch

Before we left Des Moines we went to Zombie Burger.  Brett got a cereal shake and we got some fun burgers. 

Wicked

Brett and I went to Des Moines last night and went to the musical "Wicked."

We had a great time.

Halloween Fun

The girls went out trick-or-treating last night. It is a little different here, they assign a night as "beggars night" and set a time for the children to go door to door. Fortunately this year it was actually on Halloween, but they only had from 5:30-7:00 to be out. I think hey got quite the haul for their time out.

Sunday Night Activity

Last night we had some friends over and carved pumpkins. It was a lot of fun.

Substituting

I guess I need to apply at the school district so I can start working.

Allergies

I don't know what LuLu is allergic to, but it isn't fun. Poor puppy!

Sleep Tight

Eli invited both dogs onto his bed tonight. It looks like they take up most if the room, and it is a tight fit.

Fun Run

Since Megan was coming down to visit, she signed Eli and Emily up for a fun run. It was a 5k, and they did pretty well. It was a cold morning.

Halloween Party

Brett had a party at work, so the girls and I went and trick-or-treated. We had a friend visiting for the weekend, so we took her with us.
